Le Petit Perron’s physical universe is created between Denmark and Provence - in small batches, with attention to craftsmanship, materials and the hands that will use them.
Our Learning Suitcases are made in Denmark from recycled paper and cardboard in collaboration with Danish suitcase makers. The textile pieces are sewn in Provence together with a local seamstress and in our own atelier, while the hand-knitted details are made in Denmark.
We choose materials for their quality, durability and the experience they bring. Wood, linen, cotton, wool, paper and other materials with texture and character are a visible and tactile part of the universe.
For us, good craftsmanship does not mean that everything has to look exactly the same. Quite the opposite. We like you to be able to see and feel that something has been made, sewn, knitted and assembled by hand.
That is why we produce in limited batches and choose our materials with care - with the intention of creating things that can be opened, held, touched and used again and again.

Storytelling suitcase
WORKSHOP
A creative workshop where each child gets their own little suitcase as a starting point for a journey of discovery.
We provide the materials and work with items including paper, paints, textiles, and small creative tasks. Along the way, English words, questions, and conversations are naturally woven into what the children are creating.
The suitcase is filled with the child's own ideas and discoveries - and is, of course, taken home after the workshop.

Build with pixels
WORKSHOP
A well-known block universe is moved off the screen and onto the table.
Using magnetic cubes, children build their own landscapes, places, and stories. English becomes a natural part of the workshop as we put words to what we are building, make choices, and talk about our worlds together.
The workshop is tailored to the children's age and language level and can be booked for schools, libraries, cultural venues, events, and private gatherings, among others.

Build with bricks
WORKSHOP
A creative workshop in English where children build, imagine, and tell stories.
Using bricks as a shared starting point, the children create their own constructions and small worlds. Along the way, we introduce English words, questions, and conversations based on what emerges on the table.

Mon Ami's Storytelling
PERFORMANCE
A sensory storytelling experience in English, where Mon Ami opens their suitcase and invites the children out into the world.
Through storytelling, objects, sensory experiences, questions, and dialogue, the children become part of the story rather than just listening to it. Together, we discover new places, animals, nature, people, and English words along the way.
The performance can be adapted to different children's groups and settings and can be booked by schools, libraries, cultural venues, events, and private gatherings, among others.

My name is Lykke. I am Danish, I live in the heart of Provence, and I am a mother of four - aged three to twenty-one.
